An ATS Score is a parsing check. A high score means software read your resume cleanly and found the posting words.
It does not mean a human would keep reading. Most people are not removed by the software — they are removed by the person after it.

Line 1 is a self-description every applicant writes. It clears keyword matching and gives a screener nothing to hold.

Cut a 40-hour monthly reporting cycle to 4 hours by rebuilding it in dbt and Looker for 30 users.
What an ATS Score is honestly good for
Catching a resume the system cannot read: text inside images, tables, headers, 2 columns, a file that exports as one blob.
Catching a vocabulary mismatch, where the posting says demand generation and your page only ever says marketing.
That is real value and it is worth 30 seconds. It is a floor, not a verdict.
Why chasing a higher percentage stops working
A match rate rises when you add nouns. Nothing about adding nouns makes a screener stop and read your first bullet.
Past a clean parse, the number moves and your callbacks do not. You are improving the part that was never deciding.
A tool that returns only a percentage cannot tell you which sentence failed, because it never made a judgment.
The question to ask instead
Not how well this matches, but where a screener would stop, and what they decided there.
That answer names a line and a reason. You can rewrite a line. You cannot rewrite a percentage.
